We offer several variations of 1-1/2 story homes (often referred to as Cape Cods), all of which have 12/12 pitch roofs. They differ from a 2-story home in that the upstairs living area typically has a smaller foot print than the main floor due to the pitch of the roof that extends down to the first floor.
One of the advantages of a 1-1/2 story home is that more living space is provided in relationship to the footprint of the foundation and roof area. Making your home unique to your taste can be obtained through numerous options including various dormer choices and porch options. Interiors can be dramatic with high vaults and large window collections. This is a popular style of home if your land is located on water or has a view.
